Poem via Toulousian…

Not sure

About me

In the

Waters,

That pool of

Narcissist

I’m swimming

Is alive

With serpents

And dragons

In the water,

I see that

Rippled me

I reach in

To pull me

Out

Of peril,

Yet it won’t

Do.

I would that

I could see

The colors

Beyond,

But things

Are grey,

Scratchy shades

Of darker

Sketches.

I would that

The gardens

Returned,

Complete with

Blossoms and

Purple plumes

On white.

Sparkling mist

Like traveling stars

And fair ladies

In the water.

So I leave that

Horrible place

And continue in

The forest

With my pilgrim

Hat,

Awaiting shinier

Days

Where glittering

Hauberks and

Bright helms

Flash in the

Bloody battle,

If only my

Gonfalon

Blazed like the

Oriflame, making

Fires burst on

The monsters

Like dragon

Breath,

Then would a

Copper statue

Do well.
